8% of People Like to Be Greeted When Walking Into a Store

A poll asked people if they like to be greeted and offered help when they enter a store (obviously the Walmart Greeter” comes to mind). Turns out NO, more likely than yes (unless we need something . . . and then we immediately become frustrated if no one’s around). The poll asked 8,000 people, if they want to be greeted . . .

  • 40% of people say it doesn’t matter to them either way . . .
  • 52% say they DON’T like that (some say it makes them feel very uncomfortable). . .
  • And only 8% of people said they LIKE being greeted when first walk into a store.
