Classic Rock Fraud?????

In the song “Life’s Been Good”, Joe Walsh sang, “My Maserati does 185 / I lost my license, now I don’t drive.” But there are two MAJOR problems with that lyric . . . First: No Maserati was hitting 185 in 1978 (top speed was closer to 133.5 miles per hour), And Second: At the time the song came out, Joe had never even owned a Maserati. He eventually bought a 1964 5000GT, though. He told “Rolling Stone”, “Everyone was making me feel really guilty . . . the look of sadness on their face.” So he went out and finally bought a Maserati but he added, “I don’t know if it does 185, I chickened out at 140.”
