Green Day has revealed that it will issue a new, career-spanning hits compilation on November 17th titled Greatest Hits: God’s Favorite Band. Announced Thursday (October 12th) via the band’s social media channels, the set is said to contain the trio’s “20 biggest hits, 2 new songs, 1 new music vid (and) a partridge in a pear tree.” The two new tracks are a different version of “Ordinary World” featuring Miranda Lambert and a tune called “Back In The USA.”
- This is the band’s second greatest hits compilation, following 2001’s International Superhits! It’s also their fifth compilation album altogether, after 2002’s Shenanigans and the 2014 demo collection, Demolicious.
- Its 22 tracks include classics like “When I Come Around” and “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life),” as well as recent hits like “Still Breathing.”
- Green Day will begin a South American tour on November 1st as the band continues to support its latest album, last year’s Revolution Radio.
