Half of Us Have Faked a Sick Day

Over half of us have faked a sick day, according to a new survey.  The most common reasons are to take a mental health day . . . when you’re not sick, but just don’t feel good . . . and to go to a doctor’s appointment.  And people in Connecticut are the most likely to fake a sick day, while people in Wisconsin do it the least. Kentucky was ranked 5th for calling in sick, Indiana 8th, Pennsylvania is 20th, Michigan is 44th . . .  And Ohio, “the heart of it all”, we’re ranked 31st in the U.S. for calling in sick when we’re not. (Here are the rankings for all 50 states.)
