Did you miss this over the weekend? University of Tennessee junior Ben Joyce threw a 105.5 mile-per-hour pitch on Sunday. It’s the fastest pitch ever recorded in college baseball, and the second-fastest in ALL of baseball (Aroldis Chapman has that record, at 105.8 back in 2010 when he played for the Reds). You can see the pitch below. The stadium gun only registers it at 104, but the school says it was 105.5.
