The Pope’s Twitter Account Was NOT Impressed

I’m guessing they don’t use the middle finger much in Vatican City, which probably led to THIS . . . last week, The Pope’s  official Twitter account, posted-and-deleted a tweet, extolling the virtue of the middle finger. Now, it’s not what you think, he wasn’t really telling Catholics to flip each other off more. It started with a speech he gave last week, where he talked about the five digits on your hand, represent five essential things in life. Your thumb represents “prayer,” your pinky means “service” . . . the middle finger represents “honesty”, because it’s higher than your other fingers. But eventually they deleted the posts, after people had fun with the one about your middle finger. Some of the comments had people promising to flip people off more, and someone in New York posted “I am doing the Lord’s work driving on the Belt Parkway this morning.” It’s reassuring to know I’m not the ONLY one with the maturity of a 5th grader.
