Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band Back On The Road

Ringo Starr kicks off his 2017 All Starr Band tour dates tonight (October 13th) with the first show of an eight-night residency at Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. After the Vegas shows, Ringo and the band will be on the road through November 16th when they wrap things up at Newark, New Jersey at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. Once again backing Ringo is the longest-running edition of the All Starrs Todd Rundgren, Santana and Journey‘s Gregg Rolie, Toto’s Steve Lukather, and Mr. Mister’s Richard Page — along with saxophonist Warren Ham, and longtime drummer Gregg Bissonette.

  • Over a quarter century since getting sober and deciding to relaunch his live career with the All Starr Band, during the recent tour, we asked Ringo if he feels as though the road show has given him a new lease on life: “I don’t look at it like that. I mean, I put it together — and it’s gone on. Y’know, I’m not really surprised. Y’know, I think it’s a great show to come and see — and this band, of course, everybody knows by now, I love this band, I love the guys. Y’know, I’m trying anything to keep it together. So, y’know, we’ve done New Zealand, Australia, Japan, we’ve done South America, we’ve done America — we’re doing it again. I just love this band.” :
