Three Names Removed From Hurricane List
The World Meteorological Organization has permanently removed three names from its hurricane name list.
Helene, Milton, and Beryl have been retired after causing widespread deaths and damage last year.
It’s customary for a name to be retired after a particularly devastating storm.
The three storms caused nearly 400 deaths and over $120 billion in damage in 2024.
They’ll be replaced by three new names: Holly, Miguel, and Brianna.
