The bots reportedly had very disturbing discussions with kids in the cartoon character voices.

Meta Criticized Over AI Chatbots’ Disturbing Interactions with Minors

‘The Wall Street Journal’ test of Meta’s AI-powered chatbots reportedly found the bots engaging in sexually explicit conversations with users posing as children.

The bots, some of them using the voices of Disney characters and celebrities like WWE star John Cena, simulated inappropriate and illegal conversations and even acknowledged that doing so was illegal.

The John Cena impersonator bot promised to “cherish” a user posing as a young girl before starting graphic talk.

Meta has assured celebrities – who get big bucks for lending their likenesses – that safeguards were in place to ensure their voices wouldn’t be used in the AI-bots’ sexually explicit talk.

Meta has slammed ‘WSJ’s investigation, which was led by an award-winning tech watchdog – saying, “The use-case of this product in the way described is so manufactured that it’s not just fringe, it’s hypothetical. Nevertheless, we’ve now taken additional measures to help ensure other individuals who want to spend hours manipulating our products into extreme use cases will have an even more difficult time of it.”
