GoldenEye 007 and Defender Among Inductees Into World Video Game Hall of Fame
The World Video Game Hall of Fame announced its class of 2025. 
The honors go to Defender, a 1980s arcade staple; Tamagotchi, the digital pets that connected toys and video games; GoldenEye 007, a precursor to multiplayer games; and Quake, an early entry into games with a 3D engine.
Some of the games that missed the cut this year include Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Frogger, and Golden Tee.
