The finale of the Scripps National Spelling Bee was Thursday night, and the winner was a 13-year-old from Texas. He correctly spelled éclaircissement. The website WordUnscrambler put together a list of the most problematic words for Americans to spell. Here are America’s Top 5 Most Misspelled Words:

  2. Separate
  3. Necessary
  4. Believe
  5. Through

They also came up with the most challenging word for each STATE to spell, like:
