Nailed It

There’s a new bronze Tina Turner statue in her hometown of Brownsville, Tennessee. As we have seen with other memorial statues, the thing most people are talking about is the artist’s interpretation of what Tina Turner looks like . . . specifically his interpretation of her trademark HAIR. The sculptor says he tried to capture her movement onstage, including how she held her microphone, and her, quote, “mane of a lion” hairstyle.
