The Butterball Thanksgiving Report

Butterball released its annual Thanksgiving report, and they claim the food itself is NOT the top thing we’re looking forward to. “Spending time with family” ranks first, then food is second, with relaxing is third. (These Butterball folks obviously haven’t spent time with MOST people’s extended family) Here are a few stats on what the average Turkey Day will look like this year . . .

  • The average Thanksgiving will have nine people.
  • One in five Thanksgivings will be a potluck.
  • 89% of people polled said they’ll celebrate Thanksgiving, (and 84% will have turkey on the table, but keep in mind the report WAS conducted by a company that makes its money selling turkey).

Butterball also announced they’re giving away special “Thanksgiving Hosting Pants”, with lots of pockets for things like spoons and whisks. Go to ThanksgivingHostingPants.com at noon next Monday for a chance to win a pair.
