Talker Research says the average American will spend celebrate Thanksgiving by spending $952 on food, travel, decorations, drinks and more.

Breaking down costs, if you host eight people, that comes out to about $22 per plate.

Food is the most expensive Thanksgiving item, costing an average of $175 per household. Another $110 will pay for drinks.

However, a third of Americans plan to cut their Bird Day budget by 41% by hosting smaller gatherings, sharing in potlucks and cutting back on travel.

63% of those surveyed said it’s expensive to gather for Thanksgiving.
