Pop Culture Moments Turning 20 in 2026

If you haven’t noticed, so far this year, I’ve talked about movies, TV shows, and music that are turning 50 years old in 2026. Well you don’t have to go back 50 years to feel old, try 20 years. The website Mental Floss posted a story about “20 Pop Culture Moments That Turn 20 This Year.” So grab your walker, and let’s stroll down memory lane. Here are a few of the pop culture moments turning 20 in 2026 . . .

1) Movies: “Cars” and “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” were big in theaters, and “High School Musical” premiered on the Disney Channel.

2) TV Shows: “Dexter”, “Heroes”, and “Psych” all debuted.

3) “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin was killed by a stingray.

4) The Nintendo Wii was released.

5) Twitter debuted on March 21st.
