New Leadership At Habitat For Humanity Of Findlay/Hancock County
(From Habitat for Humanity of Findlay/Hancock County Board President Kelly Croy)
To our Community Partners and Stakeholders,
I am writing to share with you a recent change in leadership. Wendy McCormick will no longer be serving as the affiliate’s Executive Director. We appreciate Wendy’s contributions to Habitat’s growth during the past two decades, and I encourage you to read the letter below from Wendy to provide additional context.
We are also pleased to announce the selection of our new Executive Director, Warren Long, effective April 1, 2026. Warren is a respected member of the Findlay community and has extensive experience with Habitat for Humanity, including serving as a past Board president.
Under Warren’s leadership, the Board is confident of a seamless transition that ensures our spring and fall home builds, our ReStore operations, Financial Opportunity Center services and critical home repairs will all continue without interruption.
We look forward to continuing to pursue our mission, serve families, and advocate for affordable housing in our community.
Sincerely,
Kelly Croy
Board President
Habitat for Humanity of Findlay/Hancock County
Dear Habitat Friends and Partners,
After many meaningful years with Habitat for Humanity, I am writing to share that I will be transitioning out of my role as Executive Director. This difficult decision comes with mixed emotions, as my time with Habitat has been profoundly rewarding and shaped by the dedication of supporters like you. I need to use the immediate future to focus on personal and family matters before moving on with the next chapter of my journey, all with God’s help and direction.
Your partnership has made it possible for Habitat to expand its impact, strengthen its programs, and serve families who are striving for stability and opportunity. I have seen firsthand how your generosity transforms lives-not just through the construction of homes, but through the creation of dignity, hope, confidence, and community. We are stronger together and I’ve so enjoyed working with each of you.
As I step away, I want to emphasize how vital your continued support is. Habitat’s mission remains urgent, and the organization is well-positioned to meet the growing needs of our community. I have full confidence in the staff and board members who will lead the next chapter of this work, and I hope you will remain by their side.
Thank you for your commitment to Habitat for Humanity and for the privilege of partnering with you. The future is bright, and your ongoing support will ensure that more families have the foundation they need to thrive and know that they can always find hope in Habitat.
With sincere gratitude,
Wendy McCormick
