Flood Warning Issued

Hancock County is included in a Flood Warning issued by the National Weather Service.

The NWS said Wednesday morning that flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.

Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms.

Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.

Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Area river gauges continue to rise across the warned area.

Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area.
