Findlay Rotary Makes Donation To YMCA Early Learning Center
(From the Findlay Rotary Club)
The Findlay Family YMCA Early Learning Center, a state-of-the-art facility, opened in November with support from the Findlay Rotary Club and Rotary District 6600.
Leaders from Rotary and the Findlay YMCA collaborated to secure a total grant of $10,000 for the project. Of that amount, $6,600 was contributed by the Findlay Rotary Club and $3,400 by Rotary District 6600. The funding was used to install sensory boards and sensory items throughout the building.
The center serves children from infancy through fifth grade and features three infant rooms, four toddler rooms, five Preschool classrooms, and school-age spaces/rooms. Additional amenities include a multi-use piazza, a gross motor skills room, a sensory room, mentor and staff workspace, a nursing mothers’ room, a meeting area, multiple age-appropriate inclusive playgrounds, and a secure lobby.
