This Just In: You Probably Shouldn’t Hire a Helicopter for Prom

A city in Illinois filed a lawsuit against a park district executive director, who authorized a helicopter landing last week, at a public park where children were playing. And the reason . . . for her daughter’s prom photos. According to eye witnesses, there were children at the park playing basketball, and they ran once the helicopter hovered above and landed in the grass. No one was hurt, and the police responded and shut it down. They cited the pilot, as well as the mother, and the stunt cost $800. It sounds like SHE paid for it, and It didn’t come out of park district funds. And for the record, the daughter did get some photos
