Adult Tired Is Different
Not “I need a nap” tired.
I mean mentally tired.
Emotionally tired.
The kind where your brain never fully shuts off and even relaxing feels like work.
A lot of people are carrying that right now while still going to work, answering texts, paying bills, and pretending they’re fine.
But being exhausted all the time shouldn’t become your definition of “normal.”
You do not have to earn rest.
You do not have to solve your entire life this week.
And small steps still count.
Sometimes progress is:
- getting more sleep
- taking a walk
- saying no to one extra thing
- or simply making it through a hard day without giving up on yourself.
That still matters.
Life usually doesn’t slow down on its own.
You have to create small moments where you slow it down yourself.
And maybe today doesn’t need to be the day you reinvent your whole life.
Maybe today just needs to be the day you’re a little less hard on yourself while you figure things out.
