The website The Boot, put together a list of the smallest populated town in every state. Some of the highlights include a few with a population of ZERO (how can it be a town if nobody lives there?). Here are a few of the SMALLEST towns in America . . .

Warm River, Idaho, South Park View, Kentucky, Monowi, Nebraska and Hillsview, South Dakota (Population: 2).

Thurmond, Virginia (Population: 2)

Cave, Missouri, Lotsee, Oklahoma, and Lost Springs, Wyoming (Population: 4)

Freeport, Kansas, Ruso, North Dakota, and Centralia, Pennsylvania (Population: 5)

In contrast, the smallest town with the LARGEST population is, New Shoreham, Rhode Island (Population: 1,404)

How about the smallest town in Ohio? That would be Rendville, Ohio, population 55 (according to the 2023 Census). Rendville in Perry County, is about 24 miles south of Athens, home to Ohio University. It’s an old mining town in southeastern Appalachian Ohio.
