It turns out the deliciously doughy food may be a good alternative to a traditional breakfast — even healthier than boxed cereal. A nutrition expert (Chelsey Amer) shared that pizza is packed with protein — something your body desperately needs to get through the day. An average slice of pizza and a bowl of cereal with whole milk contain nearly the same amount of calories. However, pizza packs a much larger protein punch, which will keep you feeling full throughout the morning. A lot of breakfast cereals are also high in sugar, so swapping out the Frosted Flakes or Fruit Loops for a slice could certainly make for a more balanced meal for you or your kids.
