What Will Travel Be Like This 4th Of July Weekend?
- Plenty of people will travel for the 4th of July weekend.
- AAA estimates 43.2 million people will hit the road for the holiday, a 2.4 percent hike from last year.
- Transportation analysts say the best day for a road trip is Sunday, July 2nd, and Monday, July 3rd. Traffic will be at its worst on Friday, June 30th between 10 am and 5 pm and Wednesday, July 5th, from 3 pm and 6 pm.
- Twenty-four million Americans are expected to use air travel from June 29th to July 5th. June 29th and 30th will be the busiest travel days.
- Expedia says the most popular destinations will be Orlando, Los Angeles, and New York City.
- Hopper predicts the busiest airports will be Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, and Los Angeles International Airport.
