You should be doing this as little as you can.
How Often Should You Wash Your Jeans?
Ever wondered how often you should wash your jeans? It’s not every time you wear them. In fact, experts say you can wear them 10 times before washing them.
A good rule of thumb is to wash your jeans every 3-10 wears or when they start to smell.
If you’re regularly active in your jeans (think: manual work, anything where you work up a sweat), wash them every 3 wears, but if you’re working at a desk, you can probably go through multiple wears without washing.
When it comes to washing them, there are a few things you should be doing to make them last longer, like washing your jeans inside out with cold water, gentle cycle, and hanging them to dry.
If the thought of your clothes carrying bacteria freaks you out, you can also spritz them with vodka!
“When you get home, spray (your jeans) with vodka,” Richardson says. “Vodka, first of all, will remove the odor from anything, but more importantly, vodka is an anti-bacterial.”
