Have you ever had a cold that didn’t end quickly? There’s a reason.
People Might Experience Long Colds Similar To Long COVID
Having a cold that lingers is frustrating.
Researchers recently coined the phrase “Long colds” for those experiencing respiratory issues weeks after first getting sick.
People with acute symptoms could experience long-term symptoms, including coughing, stomach pain, and diarrhea up to four weeks later.
The pattern is similar to one seen with people who had long COVID.
Although long colds are not new, researchers said the lingering effects often go undiagnosed because of the many symptoms and lack of testing.
