McDonald’s Is Nixing the McFlurry Spoon
Remember the first time you had a McFlurry from McDonald’s, and they gave you the “McFlurry Straw”? Was it a SPOON or some kind of a “spoon STRAW”? Well, kids in the future, will never have to live through the uncertainty of not knowing how to use it. McDonald’s has announced that they’re phasing out the McFlurry spoons. Not because they’re confusing, but because they want to use LESS plastic.
McFlurry spoons are large, with a hollow handle, so they can connect directly to a blender and be used to mix your McFlurry together.
Going forward, McDonald’s says the McFlurry machines will have a “reusable spindle that’s swapped out and cleaned after each McFlurry is made.” That will allow them to nix the big spoons, and replace them with the smaller, black spoons that are already handed out with its sundaes. SCIENCE!
