Who is ready to go to the moon?!

NASA is accepting applications for its next class of astronauts that could visit the moon and head to Mars. 

NASA pilot Victor Glover and selection manager April Jordan joined the TODAY Show on Wednesday to talk about the requirements for the job and what the training is like.

The starting pay is $152,000, with the application deadline of April 2.

Here are the requirements:  A master’s degree in science, technology, engineering or math; three years of professional experience, medical residency or 1,000 pilot-in-command hours for pilots; and passing a long-duration physical.

The last time NASA selected astronaut candidates in 2021, more than 12,000 people applied.
