Wells Fargo Fires Employees Over Simulated Keyboard Activity
Over a dozen Wells Fargo employees have been fired because of “simulated keyboard activity.”
All of the workers were in the wealth- and investment-management unit.
Bloomberg reports that the employees were fired “after review of allegations involving simulation of keyboard activity creating impression of active work.”
The company said in a statement, “Wells Fargo holds employees to the highest standards and does not tolerate unethical behavior.”
Specific devices that simulate workers took off during the pandemic when people were working from home. Items like the mouse movers or mouse jigglers can be found online.
