Bee Stings Guy Directly in His Eyeball
Here’s a guy who most likely had a worst day than you . . . a guy in Philadelphia recently went to the E.R. after a bee stung him directly in the EYEBALL. It stung him in the right eye, where the iris meets the white part of your eye. The stinger was stuck in it, so they tweezed it out. But his eye was still swollen and bloodshot two days later, and his vision was worse, so he went to an eye specialist. It turned out a small piece of the stinger was still lodged in his eyeball. They had to use something called “micro-forceps” to get it out. They gave him some special eye drops, and he recovered. Experts say stings to the eyeball are extremely rare, and there are only a handful of cases on record. But if it ever happens to you, see an eye doctor as soon as possible. The equipment in the E.R. isn’t specialized enough. (Here’s a photo if you dare)
