After decades of serving DVDs from thousands of kiosks, Redbox is shutting down.

It’s parent company, Chicken Soup for The Soul Entertainment is liquidating after filing for bankruptcy, shutting down all 24,000 DVD kiosks and its streaming service.

The company’s more than 1,100 employees will be without work while receiving no severance or extended benefits.
