Thirsty Airplane Hack
People say you shouldn’t drink the coffee or anything with ice on airplanes. So you’re stuck getting something bottled or canned (and maybe more accurately overpriced, whether it’s the airplane or the airport). But there IS another option: Fresh coconut water . . . directly from a coconut (???). A guy posted a video explaining he always packs coconuts to crack open and drink on the plane. A coconut can hold between seven and 34 ounces of coconut water inside, and yes, the TSA DOES allow whole, unopened coconuts despite it being over the three-ounce liquid limit (they may require extra screening though, if you are not flying WITHIN the continental U.S.). So how do you crack them open on the plane? Coconuts have three “eyes,” and one of them is soft, just bring a metal straw (which is also allowed), and jab it into the soft eye . . . and ENJOY
