Can a restaurant ban you for showing too much skin?
Restaurant Goes Viral For “No Skimpy Clothes” Rule
A restaurant in Greensboro, North Carolina, is getting attention for its dress code.
Kim’s Kafe has its clothing requirements listed on the door and windows of the entrance.
The dress code reads, “No skimpy clothes of any kind, no crop tops, do not enter if you have on shorts, and no leggings.”
The business posted its rules on Facebook, and that’s how the information went viral.
When a local news reporter asked if the rules were legal, an attorney said, “Absolutely. A business owner can refuse service or refuse to allow patrons into their business for any reason at all that they define, as long as it’s not discriminatory.”
