Could there be metal or plastic in your ground beef?

Ground Beef Recall

Ground Beef Meat Sticker by ButcherBox

The USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Services has issued an alert over ground beef possibly contaminated with plastic or metal.

A customer of Ohio’s Stockyards Packing Company says they found hard plastic and metal fragments in their frozen beef.

The affected product is labeled as “STOCKYARDS PACKING COMPANY GROUND BEEF”, with a lot code of 241210.  It’s not on the market anymore but you’re advised to check your freezer and fridge.

You can then either throw out the beef or return it to your place of purchase.
