Arizona Tattoo Artist Slammed for Tattooing 9-Year-Old
Arizona tattoo artist Sosa is getting heat for tattooing a nine-year-old girl.
He explained that he tattooed an American flag on the girl’s arm after she initially wanted a Donald Trump tattoo on her neck. “Told her in a year if she still wanted the Trump then to get it but to think on it,” adding that he tried to “scare” the girl away by giving her family a different price for the tattoo.
Sosa explained that it’s legal for minors to get tattoos in Arizona as long as the parents are okay with it. Now 10, the girl revisited his shop for a touch-up. He added that she and her family are from Turkey and he wanted to respect them. “They were just very grateful to be here in the United States”, he said.
As co-owner of Black Onyx Empire Tattoo, Sosa said “I’m getting a lot of hate from it. My employees are getting hate from it. My business, I’m getting so many bad reviews on Google.”
He shared, “I don’t tattoo my kids. I’m not promoting kids to come and get tattoos. There should be laws and regulations of limiting the ages in order to do these procedures.”
