Man Pulls Live Turtle from Pants at NJ Airport
After setting off a New Jersey airport’s body scanner alert, a Pennsylvania man pulled a turtle from his pants on Friday.
The red-ear slider turtle, which is a popular pet, was about five inches long and wrapped in a blue towel.
The man missed his flight. He didn’t explain why he had his turtle in his pants as authorities determine if he should face any charges.
A TSA agent said, “We have seen travelers try to conceal knives and other weapons on their person, in their shoes and in their luggage, however I believe this is the first time we have come across someone who was concealing a live animal down the front of his pants.”
