Man Drives More Than 700 Miles To Set Another Man’s Home on Fire
21-year-old Harrison Jones of Michigan is accused of driving more than 700 miles to set a Besalem, Pennsylvania man’s home on fire – simply because he had communicated with Jones’ ex-girlfriend.
He was arrested for setting the home ablaze with a family of six inside. They were all hospitalized and two pet dogs died in the fire.
A lead in the case came when a grainy image of Jones’ vehicle appeared on a neighborhood camera. He’s seen exiting the car and approaching the home, staying there for ten minutes then running off. The house explodes into flames less than a minute later.
Officials have confirmed that Jones’ is the ex of a woman who had been in an online relationship with a male resident of the house.
Jones has been charged with attempted homicide, arson and related offenses. A GoFundMe has been created to help the family of victims, who lost everything in the fire. $46,000 has been raised so far.
