A “Goonies” Mind Blower

Ke Huy Quan has been enjoying a career resurgence, thanks to his role in “Everything Everywhere All at Once”. In fact he won a Golden Globe award Tuesday night for his roll in that movie!

Ke Huy Quan was a child actor who played “Short Round” in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), and “Data” in The Goonies (1985).

Here comes the mind blower . . . he owes his recent career resurgence in part, to one of his old “Goonies” costars!

Quan turned to Jeff Cohen to negotiate his contract on the movie “Everything Everywhere All at Once.” For those of you who don’t recognize the name Jeff Cohen . . . he played “CHUNK” in the Goonies! That’s right, Chunk is now a well respected lawyer!

Quan said in a recent interview . . . “When the producer was trying to make my deal, he said he never imagined that he’d have to talk to Chunk and Data for his movie.” He added, “Jeff is an outstanding lawyer. We’ll be friends for life. He’s my ‘Goonies’ brother.”
