A Little Perspective At Christmas

This puts things into perspective heading into our Christmas weekend. Check out these photos of Ukraine’s National Christmas Tree over the last 4 years. The 2022 tree was erected at the square in front of St Sophia Cathedral last Saturday. The ongoing Russian attacks have left the festivities visibly subdued. The Mayor of Kyiv has banned Christmas markets from selling food and drinks. But earlier this week a man came to see the tree with his daughter, and said the tree is “beautiful and welcome”, and “nobody should steal their holiday celebration”.
