Vienna, Austria has a big election in 2025 to seat a bunch of new council members. And a group called the “Beer Party” is rising in the polls, after offering a FREE BEER FOR ALL platform. It started as a joke 10 years ago, but it’s currently polling at 12%, which would mean 12 members of their party would get elected. Here are some of their campaign promises . . .

  1. One free keg per month for every adult in Vienna.
  2. Eliminate taxes on beer served at bars.
  3. Allow bars to stay open 24/7.
  4. Replace Vienna’s iconic fountain with one that sprays beer instead of water.
