Extend The Life Of Your Christmas Tree

Happy National Christmas Tree Day! And if you’re doing a REAL tree this year, here are a few things that you can do to extend the life of a fresh Christmas tree:

  • Cutting an inch or two off the trunk before you set it up . . .
  • Don’t place it too close to a heat source|  . . .
  • Water it daily (rule of thumb, they need a quart of water a day for every inch in diameter the trunk is. So if it’s four inches across, that’s a gallon a day).
