Halloween Hangovers

Here are a couple of post Halloween stories.

File this in the “That May Not Be Appropriate” folder . . .

• Kids at an elementary school in Alabama showed up Tuesday morning and were greeted by a very realistic Pennywise (the murderous clown from “It”). Someone in a Pennywise costume was standing on the corner of the school with a red balloon. The school told the person to leave, apparently. Someone online described it as “so epic” and so “wrong” (check out the creepy photo).

And file this in the “Everything Is Better With Wine” folder . . .

• And if you’re being sneaking your kid’s Halloween haul, the “New York Post” had an expert name the best wines to pair with different candies . . .
  • If you’re eating Kit Kats, reach for a pinot noir.
  • Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and merlot
  • Sour Patch Kids and pinot grigio
  • Hershey’s and zinfandel
  • Twix and cabernet sauvignon
  • Candy corn will go much better with a nice chardonnay.
