One Of My Top 3 Rock Stories Of All Time
I ALWAYS do this entry each year when I do the “Rock Almanac”. It was 50 years ago today, Who drummer Keith Moon collapsed during a concert after his drink was spiked with a horse tranquillizer. 19 year-old Scott Halpin who was in the audience, was volunteered by a friend, to replace him on drums for the remaining three numbers of the concert. They brought him back stage, gave him a shot of brandy to calm his nerves, and the rest is Rock History.
