Something about hurtling through the sky at 500 miles an hour puts some of us on edge. So do you like to have a drink or two when you fly (or TEN, based on some people’s behavior on planes lately)? Upgraded Points polled more than 2,000 people across the U.S. to find each state’s go-to drink order on airplanes.#1 overall is water, followed closely by soda. Here are the most popular adult beverages we order on planes . . .
- Vodka cocktails are the top choice in 11 states.
- Whiskey cocktails, also 11 (including OHIO).
- Wine, 11 states (7 said white, Arizona, New Jersey, Delaware, and Kentucky prefer red).
- Mimosas were big in seven states.
- Bloody Marys, two (Kansas and Utah).
They also looked at the top snacks we order, and chips are #1 by far. Then it’s pretzels (tops in OHIO), followed by peanuts.
