Sometimes it’s easy to lose focus of Memorial Day Weekend. There’s barbecues, trips to the beach or pool and road trips. But we’re getting this extended weekend, because many people died to give us these freedoms. A couple in Florida started a charity to provide mentorship for the children who have lost a parent in combat. Other soldiers step in to fill the role that a child’s own parent would have. Even though they are based in Florida, they service families from all over the U.S.
