Stupid Criminal Stole Crime Stoppers Rewards?

If you’re dishonest enough, you could probably steal from any job, but THIS seems like you’re just asking to get caught . . . and a COP is the “stupid criminal”! You can’t make this stuff up! A police officer in Tennessee was caught stealing from Crime Stoppers.  Arica Hutchison, reportedly stole more than $18,000 in the span of 7 months. Her job was to sort through the Crime Stoppers database, and send pertinent tips to investigators. When tips qualified for rewards, she’d switch the destination for the reward to her accomplice’s bank account, and they’d split the stolen money. Imagine the karma if she was caught by a Crime Stoppers tip, but that wasn’t the case. She pleaded guilty, and was sentenced to 6 months in prison, plus 2 years of supervised release, she has to pay $22,000 in restitution and had resigned. (Ya think?!?!)
