Texans Are VERY Resourceful

Hurricane Beryl hit Texas pretty hard and caused a lot of power outages in the Houston area. And unfortunately, the electric company’s outage tracker is down. But have no fear, people unable to get power updates because local outage tracker keep crashing from high demand, have been using their Whataburger app. (???) Since there are so many Whataburger restaurants in southern Texas (in Texas they’re probably bigger than McDonalds), people are able to use the app as a power outage tracker. If a store is open, that means power most likely has been restored in that area. The Whataburger social media team even commented on a post “Well that’s a use for our app we didn’t think of!  We hope you and everyone else are okay.”
