Woman Used a Grenade as a Hammer for 20 Years

Workers in northern China were demolishing an old house, and had to call in the bomb squad when they found a LIVE GRENADE. The 90-year-old woman who lived in the house found it in a field a while back, and didn’t know what it was, thought it was a tool and had been using it as a HAMMER for 20 years. It’s an old World War Two-era grenade with a wooden handle. She told police she’d been using it to hammer nails, and also as a nutcracker. In fact, she’d used it so much over the last 2 decades, the wooden handle was smooth and glossy from all the wear, and the metal head at the end was full of dents. Police safely detonated the device, and no one was hurt.
