It’s time to think pink around April’s upcoming full moon!

This month’s full moon, nicknamed the pink moon, rises on April 17 and reaches peak illumination at 4:48 p.m. PT. 

The pink moon is one of the most anticipated celestial events of the year, and for good reason. This powerful full-moon lunar event promises to deliver a potent dose of transformation, spiritual growth, and sensual pleasure as we celebrate the arrival of spring.

April is a big month for the moon, as this lunation comes shortly after it passed by the sun in a rare total solar eclipse on April 8. While there’s much activity happening astronomically, there’s just as much significance astrologically too.

“Full moons are the most intense and emotional periods in a lunar cycle,” says People’s resident astrologer Kyle Thomas.

He also says that the pink moon can “fire up our desires, motivations. and hunger for passion, expression, and sensuality.”
