United Airlines Flight Diverted After Biohazard Caused Passengers To Vomit

A United Airlines flight on Sunday from Houston to Boston was diverted to Washington D.C. when a “biohazard” situation caused passengers and crew members to get sick.

United said one passenger’s medical emergency caused others on the flight to start vomiting. 

The pilot told air traffic control, “I talked to the doctor and I talked to the crew, and sounds like it’s quite bad back there. It’s still really bad. The crew is vomiting and passengers all around are asking for masks.”   

When the plane landed, no one was taken to the hospital. The aircraft underwent a deep cleaning, and passengers were rebooked to Boston.
