Transatlantic Delta Flight Returns To Boston After Being Hit By Lightning
A Delta Airlines flight from Boston to Rome had to turn around after the plane was hit by lightning over the Atlantic Ocean.
The FAA reports that the flight returned to Boston on Sunday night after being struck.
The pilots came back to Logan International Airport “out of an abundance of caution after encountering lighting.”
A Delta representative said, “The flight landed safely and without further incident.”
